Hello everyone! I would like to introduce myself. I’m Big Boy and I’m new to the sanctuary. I’m diabetic and FIV positive. The veterinarian estimates me at 14+. A kind lady that feeds stray cats used to feed me for years. During that time I had a hard time. I was beat up a lot and contracted FIV. If that wasn’t bad enough, my teeth started rotting.

The nice lady brought me into the veterinarian the sanctuary brings the cats to. The lady paid for my dental to have my teeth removed , but there was no where for me to go except to be released outside. A toothless old man like me can’t handle that anymore. Especially with my newly diagnosed diabetes.

The thought of going out and getting beat up again scared me. The veterinarian reached out to the sanctuary and asked if I could live out my life there. They said yes! So after some more bloodwork I was off to the sanctuary. I had no idea what to expect but it is amazing here! I found a really cozy chair that is comfortable on my old man joints. I am so happy here. They have the best beds and they feed me the yummiest diabetic wet food! I lick my chops when they serve it to me. My golden years are going to be wonderful.
