I’ve been through a lot of changes. Different cages, loud noises, and a really long car ride from North Carolina all the way down to Florida. It was scary for a bit, but I just kept hoping that if I stayed sweet, someone would notice me.

They tell me I have "the big three" FeLV, FIV, and heartworms but I don’t feel like a sick boy. I just feel like a boy who wants to be close to you. When I look at you with these big eyes, I’m not thinking about my diagnosis, I’m just wondering if you have a spare hand to scratch behind my ears or a lap where I can finally rest my head.

I didn't realize that those test results almost cost me my life while at a shelter. I didn't know I was "scheduled" for anything. Luckily someone saw that my spirit was still pure sunshine and reached out to save me. This sanctuary didn't hesatate. They just opened their arms and said I belonged here.

Now, I finally get to live life on my own terms. No more fear, just lots of love. I’m looking for a sponsor mom or dad to be my special someone. I have so much love saved up, and I’ve been waiting a long time for someone to love.
