Hi there, it's me, Tootsie! I want to share my story with you. I am a feline leukemia positive girl. When I first arrived at the sanctuary, I was in a lot of pain because of a terrible eye condition. It was really tough, and my vision was greatly affected. I needed surgery to fix my eyes, relieve the pain, and give me a chance to see again. Not only was I dealing with physical pain, but I was also extremely fearful. I was scared of everything, especially humans. You see, I used to be a feral girl, trying my best to survive out there.

Thankfully, some kind hearted humans found me and did their best to care for me until I could come to the sanctuary. Since I've been here, things have changed for the better. I received the eye surgery I desperately needed, and now I can see and live a pain free life. The caretakers at the sanctuary have worked with me every day to help me overcome my fears. I've learned to trust them, and now I seek them out for love and attention. Despite my diagnosis, I handle the virus really well. I'm a happy girl who does whatever pleases me. I've developed a special bond with my friends here, and you'll often find me snuggled up with them.
